Origin/History: Native to Somalia and the Arabian Peninsula. Name means "false stone" in Greek, referring to its rock-like appearance. Genus formally described in the 1960s .
Habitat: Arid, gritty deserts with intense sunlight and high temperatures .
Care Tips:
Sun: Full, strong light (at least 4-6 hours) .
Water: Water regularly only when temps exceed 30°C (86°F) and soil is dry; keep almost completely dry in winter .
Temp: Requires consistent warmth; never below 10°C (50°F)
