Cactus- Stenocactus crispatus f. longispinus | 4" deep taproots

Stenocactus longispinus—whose name simply means "long-spined" and form of Stenocactus crispatus—is a solitary, compact cactus reaching about 8 inches tall with beautifully undulating ribs and some of the showiest spination in the genus. Its standout feature is the crown of four long, golden-yellow central spines up to 2 inches long, contrasted against short white radials, all above pink-violet blooms. Grow it in a well-draining cactus mix with little organic matter, water when the top inch of soil dries in summer, and keep it dry in winter with protection below 23°F for short periods
