Stenocactus sp. 'RI8' is a compact, slow-growing collector's form with deeply wavy ribs and a neat, spherical habit that stays manageable at around 8 inches. To thrive and flower reliably, it requires strong light, marked day-to-night temperature swings, and a cool, dry winter rest—conditions that bring out its best form and encourage its pink late-spring blooms. Grow it in a gritty, fast-draining mix, water thoroughly in summer but let the soil dry completely between waterings, and keep it bone-dry in winter; when kept dry, it is hardy to at least 20°F (-7°C), with some reports suggesting it can handle even lower.

Standard shipping: Plants will arrive in 5-7 business days. 
Priority shipping: Plants will arrive in 2-5 business days.
Winter Shipping (Recommended for Frost-Tender Plants): To protect plants from cold during transit, we highly recommend adding a 72-hour heat pack and Priority shipping. (Please contact us if you need assistance).
Weather Delays: We reserve the right to postpone shipping during inclement weather to ensure plant safety. You will be notified if your shipment is delayed.
